A Repair Café is a free, community-based event where volunteers with repair skills help residents fix their broken items (like electronics, clothes, bikes, small appliances) to reduce waste, save money, and teach repair skills, fostering sustainability by keeping things out of landfills. People bring their broken belongings, work alongside expert fixers, and learn how to mend them, creating a culture of reuse and resourcefulness.
Bring Your Broken Stuff: You bring items like lamps, toasters, torn clothing, wobbly chairs, or malfunctioning gadgets.
Meet Volunteer Fixers: Skilled volunteers (electricians, tailors, mechanics, general tinkerers) offer their expertise.
Repair Together: You work with the volunteer to diagnose and fix your item, learning the process.
Free & Community-Focused: The service is free, aiming to build community and promote sustainable habits.
